Drake Primary School Community Sports Hall

Pedal for a Medal Plymouth - The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign
Take part in this exciting cycling race which celebrates it's 17th year on 14 September 2008. Race against hundreds of cyclists, get fit, have fun, raise valuable funds and get that medal!
The date has been set for the 17th annual Pedal for a Medal cycle ride from Plymouth onto Dartmoor National Park. Book now to join hundreds of cyclists for this popular family event which has a choice of a 7, 20 or 35 mile routes.
Entry Fees:
Adults £7.50
Children £2.50
All participants receive a certificate and medal.
No minimum sponsorship required.

Chestnut Appeal Charity Walk - Burrator ReservoirPlease come and join us in our 2nd annual sponsored walk. It only takes a few hours and is accessible to most people, what-ever your level of fitness. :-)
As always, its in aid of the Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer and takes on a beautiful walk around Burrator Reservoir. The walk is approx 3.5 miles and takes a couple of hours to complete. The walk will take place on Sunday 21st September 2008, 11am start. All are welcome .. dogs included, but please keep them on leads.
Minimum donation to take part is £5.00.

The 'Best' One Lynher' Port Eliot Autumn Ramble - Walking for Health and Pleasure
The success of our popular monthly walks for health and pleasure continues after the August recess with a stunning walk around the ancient Priory of Port Eliot. Exploring the estate's lush wood and parkland along the banks of the River Tiddy, taking in the historic remains of the Priory gardens and Ste Germanus's Church.
The 'Best One Lynher' Port Eliot Ramble offers an introduction to healthy exercise with a modestly challenging walk around the Earl of St Germans private estate and gardens, including a riverside walk below Port Eliot House with the estate's Patrick Aubrey-Fletcher, botanist Martin Summers and bird expert Dave Winter along with the promise of an excellent lunch stop at the Eliot Arms in St Germans.
Walk starts at 10.00 for 10.30 am and is approximately 4 miles long.
Meet Port Eliot Estate car park (O.S Map No. 108 ref. SX 356 580 Sat Nav. PL12 5ND).
All ages welcome. Well-behaved dogs on, and occasionally 'off' lead where permitted welcome.
The walk is free of charge, but it would be helpful if places were booked in advance and walkers will need to bring or buy their own lunches. Please dress for the weather. Suitable footwear for walking along woodland tracks, and wet grass.

The 'Arsenic and Old Lace' (Re-Visited) Cotehele Ramble - Walking for Health and Pleasure
Over two year's since the 'Arsenic and Old Lace' Ramble' and in celebration of the Trail Festival Week, we have the pleasure of inviting both experienced and novice walkers on this ever popular guided walk around one of South East Cornwall's most attractive locations.
The 'Arsenic and Old Lace' Re-Visited Ramble offers an introduction to healthy exercise whilst discovering the history and heritage surrounding one of Cornwall's most famous and stunning Elizabethan County Estate. This will be a relaxing but modestly challenging guided four mile ramble and tour along new paths around the Cotehele Estate's Park and Gardens.
Highlights include: Morning Coffee at the Edgcumbe Arms on Cotehele Quay and a presentation on the AONB Trail Festival; Followed by a Guided Walk along new trails around the Cotehele Gardens and Estate; Returning for lunch at the Edgecumbe Arms.
Walk starts 10.00 for 10.30am and is around for easy miles in total.
