Barriers to training, education and employment for people with disabilities in Plymouth
In 2006 the Learning and Skills Council funded a year long research project to look at the barriers people with disabilities face when accessing employment, training and learning opportunities.
Employers and Training Providers were also interviewed as part of the project to see what they perceived the barriers to be. The project was led by the Disability Employment and Training Advisor based at the Disability Information and Advice Centre, Plymouth Guild.
The results of the research can be found in the attached report which also contains recommendations on how to overcome these barriers.
