Terms of Reference

• The group to be called the Plymouth Disability Action Network (DAN)

• The Chair will be elected annually in October. The opportunity will be given to nominate by post but the final voting and endorsement will occur at the October meeting. Candidates will leave the room at the taking of the vote.

• The group will meet monthly for two hours from 2 – 4pm on the third Thursday of each month.

• User identities will be protected to maintain confidentiality.

•  Any member who has an interest MUST declare that interest before discussion commences.

•  Sub-groups will be delegated as and when necessary.

• Minutes will be produced following each meeting and will be available in various formats on request.

•  A minimum number of attendees to be six for any meeting to proceed.

• The terms of reference will be reviewed annually.

• The group will normally invite a speaker each month. Speakers to be agreed in advance by the group. A prioritised back up list will be available in case of cancellation at short notice.

• Speakers are to be officially invited by the DAN Secretary.
