Domestic Violence Support and Advice (Womens Refuge)
Plymouth Women's Refuge has been in operation since 1975, helping to advise, protect and assist women and children that are experiencing domestic abuse.
Domestic abuse will affect 1 in 4 women in their lifetime, abuse can range from physical violence to verbal abuse and psychological abuse. It can happen frequently or it can happen occasionally, but once is enough, 2 women die every week as a result of domestic abuse.
Plymouth Women's Refuge offers advice, information and temporary accommodation to women and children who are experiencing domestic abuse. You do not need to be seeking refuge to contact us, in the last year we have dealt with more than 3000 telephone calls from women seeking advice and help.
