Awareness Training in Sensory Impairment for Business, Employers, Organisations or Individuals

The Hearing and Sight Centre provides awareness training and can provide advice on matters relating to the Disability Discrimination Act.  This includes techniques to communicate effectively with Deaf / Hard of Hearing people and assist Blind or Partially Sighted people to access services and support.

Basic awareness sessions can be designed to suit the requirements of the organisation.  Participants will gain:

• An understanding of Hearing and / or Sight Impairment.
• Knowledge of the diverse effects of Hearing and / or Sight Impairment.
• An understanding of how to include and communicate with people who have Sensory Impairment.
• An awareness of some of the equipment or support services available.
