Supervision Training

17th Nov

This training aims to teach supervision through experiential learning. You will gain valuable knowledge about supervision whilst also gaining supervision yourself. You will gain supervision skills through practical exercises. You will leave this days training feeling refreshed, enlightened and ready to practice new skills and share your knowledge within your supervision.

The day will take you through a cyclical model of supervision. Each exercise will focus on a section of the model and draw in other theories and practices for you to develop your knowledge and skills as a practitioner.

Each exercise will build up a supervision session process piece by piece demonstrating the different tasks and functions of supervision.

There will be time within the day for you to bring your supervision, client or work based issues. We will discuss these in the context of the model and draw on other methods to facilitate the supervision. There will be a chance to practice a variety of creative methods including play, art or myth or use other techniques such as transactional analysis to shed light on the real issues.

This training is different every time. The basic format remains the same but the issues and the vast array of methods and models cannot be understood in detail in one day. Therefore the day will be designed around you and your needs.

You will take home with you models of supervision, a reading list for you to develop your own knowledge, methods of practice and new supervision skills.
