DIAC information Sheets are a Welcome Addition

The Guilds' Disability Information and Advice Centre (DIAC) has been developing an important information resource for people with disabilities in the city and those who work with them. DIAC now has on line a wide range of Information Sheets on a variety of disability related topics.

Expert Patients Programme Growing in Importance

Jackie Rees, the new EPP Admin Assistant, came into post at the end of June which will enable the Co-ordinator to increase the number of courses offered and support the developing Tutor team, as well as continue to promote the Programme to health and social care providers in Plymouth.Two new volunteer Tutors were also appointed in June, bringing the Tutor team to a total of 7 and increasing course capacity for 2008/9.

Ridleys fundraising gets a boost

Grants of various sizes from a number of Trusts have boosted our fundraising for our Ridleys appeal phase 2 by over £20,000. This takes us well on the way to our £54,000 target for this year.

Active for Life enters new phase

The Guild, in Partnership with the Plymouth teaching Primary Care Trust, is developing its Active for Life project to focus more on the needs of various care groups in the city and on those in residential settings.
