Hearing and Sight Centre settled in new home
Posted on 8th Sep
The Hearing and Sight Centre moved premises in April and is now based within the main Guild Centre in Ernest English House in Buckwell Street. This central location provides improved access as it is within a short distance of city-wide bus routes, the railway station and bus depot. There is disabled and metered parking available.
Grace Mole the Hearing and Sight Centre Manager said "It is great to be co-located with other Guild services who are also easily accessible by our Centre users. Working with the DIAC Team and colleagues in Patient support and other Guild Services means we can give a more comprehensive range of support to those with sensory impairments."

New Volunteer Centre Team
Posted on 25th Sep
As we head into Autumn the Guilds Volunteer Centre has a very new look team to support and promote volunteering in the city and to broker volunteering opportunities. We welcomed in Simon de Groot as Manager in November last year (already an old hand) and then in April, Afiza Oaten. In August the team were joined by Ayele Askale and Ross Prior, who with Fionna May, who has been with us for 3 years (a very old hand, oops!, sorry Fionna). This gives us the capacity to deliver on a range of new projects and still deliver a high quality service to potential volunteers and placement organisations.
