Volunteer Centre Strengthens Team

We are pleased to have welcomed in recent months to the team Gill Stringer and Helen Currell. The Volunteer Centre now has a team of 7 staff and 5 volunteers running a wide range of projects alongside the core volunteer brokerage service and providing support to placement providing organisations.

HEARING AND SIGHT CENTRE RECORD EXHIBITION

The Hearing and Sight Centre was delighted with the success of its 2009 Exhibition at Plymouth Guildhall. This free exhibition is the leading event of its kind in the South West, promoting the latest products and services available to people with a Sensory Impairment. A record number of visitors attended the exhibition at the end of October, with over 1000 people choosing to take advantage of the one-day event from all over Devon & Cornwall, plus a few from Dorset & Somerset.
