Ridleys fundraising gets a boost
Posted on 20th Aug
Grants of various sizes from a number of Trusts have boosted our fundraising for our Ridleys appeal phase 2 by over £20,000. This takes us well on the way to our £54,000 target for this year.
- 29th May 1962 Charitable Trust
- Baily Thomas Fund
- The Albert HuntTrust
- Howard-Blood Charitable Trust
- Pennon Group plc
- The Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust
- Woodroffe Benton Foundation
Have all made generous donations that will enable us to increase Tutor hours and meet increased running costs. This will help us to meet the growing demand for our Ridleys service from people with mild to moderate learning disabilities in the city.
Lee Sewrey, Ridleys Manager said, “It seems like only yesterday we moved to our new centre on Mutley Plain but is now a year ago. The relocation has proved to be very positive and the new facilities have enabled us to provide a more varied service in a building that is conducive to clients learning new skills and receiving high quality information and advice. There are now 116 users on the books and more waiting to come in after assessment.”
